Dr. Nozaki opened his office in Lomita in 1984. He graduated from the University of California, Irvine, with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology in 1980. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry in 1984, graduating with Honors. He was the recipient of the award for Outstanding Clinician in Binocular Vision.
Dr. Nozaki regularly volunteers for Medical Mission Adventures, which helps provide vision care services throughout Southern California for the homeless or for individuals who cannot afford medical insurance. He has also traveled for optometry missions trips to Oaxaca, Mexico, Ensenada, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic.
If you ask his wife of 38 years, she will say, “I don’t think Kent will ever grow up! He thinks like a kid and he acts like a kid, too!” That explains his passion for Disneyland, which he visits with his wife and two daughters as often as possible. Dr. Nozaki has been teaching Sunday School to elementary school age children for over 30 years. Although patients may be impressed with the extensive technological optometry equipment in our office, they are truly astounded with our office's incredible Disneyland memorabilia!
Saturdays are by appointment only.
